And I'm from the East Coast. I'm visiting for the week in San Diego and Los Angeles. I have one goal: bring back a California license plate. Any idea where I can get one?
Are they collected after use like the ones in NC are?
Also if there are any Saab parts hoards over here I'd be interested in finding them.

all the registered vehicles out there should have them. if you're looking to get one you can locate it on the front and rear of the car or truck you're standing next to with the phillips screwdriver in your hand.

Step 2: have it be dark
Step 3: Locate car
Step 4: Put screwdriver in screw
step 5: Remove screws
Step 6: Take plate in hand
Step 7: Walk away like nothing happened.

See if there are any car shows with vendors. They usually sell plates. Also, check and see if there's a Saab parts yard in Sun Valley.

Look up the pomona swap meet. Huge swap meet related to cars. Guaranteed to get one there

Umm, I'm from Los Angeles. There's a place called Sun Valley that has a lot of junk yards. Why would I suggest a place in Idaho?

oh, okay, Sun Valley is like the richest place in Idaho, a bunch of celebrities have winter homes there, off the top of my head, tom cruise, warren buffet, bill gates, and Oprah Winfrey all have winter homes in this area, it's a real resort area, and it's where the first ski lift was installed (I'm from northern idaho).
